The fundraising for the replacement of electric beds at Saemmul Hospice Hospital is progressing smoothly.

A total of 65 units need to be purchased, and each unit costs 1.5 million won, for a total of 97.5 million won.

Since 36.5 million won has already been raised, I posted on Facebook around 6 p.m. the other day to start fundraising for the remaining 61.5 million won (41 units), and as of noon today (February 6), approximately 33 million won has been raised. Now, only about 19 units need to be raised, and based on the current trend, it seems that we can achieve this without any major problems.

I contacted the missionary president and sent a message asking if he would mind placing an order today. I thought that it would be too late to place an order after the fundraising was completed, since the average lifespan of the people there is 28 days, and their one day is more precious than our thousand days. The chairman was also delighted and replied that he would place an order right away.

My heart that is inciting(?) us to raise funds and sponsor electric beds for hospice hospitals is the heart of the woman who broke an alabaster jar and poured perfume on Jesus’ feet. I think of the scent of perfume that filled the house when she broke the alabaster jar and poured perfume on Jesus’ feet. I can smell that scent now through this fundraising. I feel like I am seeing the woman who broke the alabaster jar of perfume as I see each and every one of them sending it with a joyful heart and in a hasty(?) manner.

A total of 65 electric beds worth 1.5 million won have been prepared for 46 of them. Our Facebook friends sent us the price of 22 in less than two days. I feel good when I do this. I have been feeling a bit heavy and depressed lately because of various things, but I feel like the world has suddenly become brighter.

Thank you all so much. I will make an excuse and go to the hospital on the day the ordered beds arrive at the hospital.

이제 19대 값 밖에 남지 않았습니다.

1.

샘물호스피스병원 전동침대 교체를 위한 모금이 순조롭게 잘 진행되고 있습니다.

총 65개를 구입해야 하는데 대당 150만 원으로 총 9750만원이 들어가는 사업입니다.

3650만 원이 이미 모금이 되어 있어서 나머지 6150만 원 (41대 값)을 목표로 그제 저녁 6시 경에 페이스 북에 글을 올리고 모금을 시작했는데 오늘(2월 6일) 12시 정오 현재 약 3300만 원이 모금되었습니다. 이제 약 19대 값만 모금하면 되는데 지금 추세로 보아 큰 문제 없이 달성할 수 있을 것 같습니다.

선교회 회장님에게 연락을 드려 오늘이라도 발주하시면 어떻겠냐는 멧세지를 보냈습니다. 그곳에서 평균 28일의 삶을 사시는 분들을 생각하면 그 분들의 하루는 우리의 천 일보다 더 소중하기에 모금이 다 된 후에 발주하면 늦을 것 같아서였습니다. 회장님도 기뻐하시며 당장 발주를 넣겠다 회신해 주셨습니다.

모금을 하고 호스피스병원에 전동침대를 후원하자고 선동(?)하는 제 마음은 예수님께 옥합을 깨트려 그 발에 향유를 쏟아 부은 여인의 마음입니다. 그 여인의 옥합을 깨어 향유를 예수님 발에 부었을 때 그 집 안 가득 찼었을 향유 내음을 생각합니다. 저는 지금 그 때 그 냄새를 이 모금을 통해서 맡고 있습니다. 한 분 한 분 기쁜 마음으로 그것도 성질 급하게(?) 서둘러 보내시는 것을 보며 향유 옥합을 깬 여인의 모습을 보는 것 같습니다.

150만 원 전동침대 총 65대중 현재46대 값이 마련되었습니다. 우리 페이스북 친구 여러분들이 이틀도 되기 전 22대 값을 보내주셨구요. 이런 일을 하면 신이 납니다. 요즘 이런 저런 일로 마음이 좀 무겁고 우울했었는데 갑자기 세상이 다 환해 지는 기분입니다.
